When you think about your wedding photos, what do you imagine? Do you see timeless, sophisticated images that wouldn’t look out of place in a magazine? Or do you dream of candid, emotional moments that transport you back to how you felt on your wedding day?

What if you could have both?

When you look back at your wedding photos, I want you to remember not just what your day looked like—but how it felt. The quiet anticipation before walking down the aisle. The way your partner looked at you during your vows. The joy, the emotion, the love, and the fleeting in-between moments you may not have even realized were happening.

I approach every wedding with a unique blend of editorial artistry and documentary honesty—a style that allows me to capture your story in a way that feels elevated yet deeply personal. For couples who value both sophistication and soul, this style ensures that every moment—both the carefully composed and the beautifully unplanned—is captured with artistry and emotion.

Capturing Every Element of Your Wedding Day

Your wedding is a collection of moments, both big and small. From the intricate details you’ve spent months planning to the spontaneous bursts of joy shared with family and friends, every part of your day matters. My editorial-documentary approach allows me to document each of these elements in a way that is both artistic and emotionally resonant.

The Details: Thoughtful, Elegant, and Timeless

Before the ceremony even begins, I take time to capture the little details that make your wedding uniquely yours—your rings, invitation suite, florals, and the delicate fabric of your gown. These images, styled with a refined editorial eye, set the tone for your wedding story and preserve the beauty of the day’s smallest yet most meaningful touches.

From the lace on your gown to the placement of each flower, the details you've carefully chosen deserve to be documented with care. This is where my editorial eye comes alive—styling your flat lays with clean, refined composition and using beautiful natural light to highlight your rings, stationery, shoes, and heirlooms.

At the same time, I capture the documentary moments that surround these details—your mom gently helping you into your dress, your florist making last-minute touches, or a friend steaming a veil with nervous excitement. These unscripted moments tell the real story of how the day unfolded, adding warmth and humanity to the visual narrative.

Getting Ready: A Blend of Anticipation and Candid Moments

The morning of your wedding is filled with excitement, nerves, and love. I document this part of the day with a soft, unobtrusive approach—capturing genuine laughter between bridesmaids, quiet moments of reflection, and the emotional reactions of family members seeing you dressed for the first time. Here, the documentary side of my style takes center stage. I observe and capture the natural flow of the morning—laughter with friends, a quiet moment reading a note from your partner, or the emotion in your parent’s eyes.

For brides, I love to start with those light-hearted moments—matching robes, champagne toasts, laughter with your best friends as you get your hair and makeup done. These moments are full of personality and anticipation, and I capture them as they naturally unfold. Whether it’s a perfectly timed pop of champagne or the joy of helping you into your dress, these images tell the story of your morning in a warm, organic way.

Then, we’ll take a few minutes for elevated, editorial portraits—whether it’s you standing gracefully by a window with soft natural light, or styled group shots with your bridesmaids that look like they belong in a bridal editorial spread. It’s the perfect blend of fun and sophistication.

For the groomsmen, I take a similar approach—but with a touch of editorial edge. I look for natural backdrops like a well-lit room, moody lounge, or even a pool table, and let the guys just hang out—playing pool, sipping whiskey, or sharing a few pre-ceremony laughs. These interactions are photographed candidly, but with a watchful eye for framing and style.

Then, we’ll do a few posed shots that channel a GQ or Vogue vibe—cool, confident, and timeless. Whether it’s a solo portrait of the groom looking sharp in his tux, or a group shot that feels effortlessly stylish, I create space for portraits that look elevated without ever feeling overdone.

The result? A curated set of getting-ready photos that capture the spirit of the morning—the nerves, the excitement, the quiet moments, and the celebration—with an elegant, fashion-forward edge.

The First Look (or First Touch): Private, Emotion-Filled, and Authentically You

The first look is one of the most emotionally rich moments of the day—and it’s always such an honor to document. Whether you’re choosing to see each other before the ceremony or opting for a first touch or private vow exchange without actually seeing one another, I create a space that allows you to connect deeply and authentically.

For couples who choose to do a first look, I’ll gently help set the scene—finding a quiet, beautiful location with ideal light and a little privacy away from the buzz of the day. I guide the setup subtly and intentionally, then step back to let the moment unfold naturally. This is where the documentary side of my style shines—capturing the real emotions, the unscripted reactions, and all the little gestures that make the moment yours.

For those who prefer to wait until the aisle but still want a quiet moment together, a first touch or private vow reading is the perfect alternative. Whether you're holding hands around a doorway or standing back-to-back reading letters or promises to one another, I capture these moments quietly and respectfully. There's something incredibly powerful about the stillness of these exchanges, and I document them in a way that feels tender, cinematic, and timeless.

After this moment—whether it’s a first look or a first touch—we often ease into a few couple portraits, while the emotions are still fresh and your connection is beautifully centered. I’ll gently guide you through a series of portraits that blend editorial composition with candid intimacy—allowing space for movement, laughter, quiet connection, and a bit of fashion-forward elegance, too.

This portion of the day becomes a little breath of calm before the festivities begin—a chance to be together, take it all in, and be fully present with one another.

The Ceremony: Raw Emotion and Elegant Composition

During the ceremony, my focus is purely documentary. I believe this is one of the most sacred and emotionally rich parts of your day—and my goal is to capture it authentically, unobtrusively, and artfully. I photograph genuine emotions, subtle glances, and meaningful gestures as they naturally unfold. Whether it’s the way you look at each other, the tearful reactions of your loved ones, or the grand beauty of the ceremony setting, my goal is to preserve the atmosphere and emotion without interruption.

Even without direction, my editorial sensibility still guides how I frame the story. I’m always aware of composition, light, and setting, so each image not only tells the truth of the moment but does so in a way that is timeless and beautifully crafted.

Family & Bridal Party Photos: Organized, Efficient, and Beautifully Composed

Right after the ceremony, when emotions are still running high and everyone is gathered together, I step in to seamlessly guide the family portraits and full bridal party photos. This part of the day can easily feel overwhelming without a clear plan, which is why I take an organized yet easy-going approach—keeping things stress-free, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

For family portraits, I work through a carefully structured list, ensuring that every important combination is captured while keeping things smooth, quick, and enjoyable. I give clear direction so everyone knows where to stand and how to pose, while also keeping things natural and connected—so the images feel warm, polished, and timeless. Most importantly, I make sure you and your loved ones actually get to enjoy this moment, rather than spending too much time standing around.

Once the family photos are done, we move right into bridal party portraits, which I love to capture in two distinct ways:

  1. Classic & Elegant: Beautifully composed, magazine-worthy group shots with balanced framing and timeless elegance. Think Vanity Fair-style arrangements or soft, editorial poses that highlight the group’s energy while keeping things refined.

  2. Candid & Fun: Once we’ve nailed the elegant shots, I love to get a little playful—whether it’s a champagne pop, a hyped-up walking shot, or laughter-filled candids that truly reflect the friendships and personalities in your bridal party.

By taking charge and keeping things efficient yet enjoyable, I ensure that you spend less time posing and more time celebrating—without compromising on stunning, heirloom-quality images.

Couple Portraits: Romantic, Editorial, and Full of Feeling

This is where both aspects of my style come together in perfect harmony. My editorial side comes through in the composition, light, and posing—I’ll gently guide you into relaxed, flattering positions that feel natural and refined. Think: clean lines, gorgeous backdrops, and thoughtful framing and posing that wouldn’t look out of place in a fashion editorial.

But I never want these portraits to feel stiff or overly posed. My documentary instincts help me create space for real connection—you’ll laugh, chat, move, and just be together. I watch for the way you reach for each other’s hands, the way you smile when you're lost in a private moment, and I photograph all of that with intention.

The result? Images that are romantic and striking, yet still feel completely like you.

The Reception: Candid Joy and Storytelling

Once the celebration begins, I lean fully into my documentary style, capturing the story as it unfolds—from heartfelt toasts to tear-filled dances and the wild fun on the dance floor. This is where the energy truly shines, and I’m there for it all, preserving the realness and joy of every embrace, cheer, and spontaneous laugh. I document the energy and joy of your reception with a focus on storytelling. These are the fun moments that make your wedding uniquely yours, and I capture them in a way that feels immersive and alive.

At the same time, my editorial sensibilities remain present—I pay attention to composition and lighting even in fast-paced or dimly lit moments. I know how to find beauty in chaos and how to capture images that are both dynamic and visually intentional.

A Style That Feels Like Your Wedding Day—Authentic and Timeless

One of the most important aspects of my approach is true-to-life editing. I embrace natural tones that enhance the beauty of the moment without altering its authenticity. Your photos will remain timeless and real, allowing you to relive your wedding exactly as it happened—full of love, light, and raw emotion.

More Than Just Photos—An Experience That Feels Effortless

Beyond capturing beautiful images, my priority is to make your experience seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable. Whether it’s guiding you through posing in a way that feels natural or working behind the scenes to ensure your wedding timeline flows smoothly, I bring a calm, easygoing presence to your day.

At the heart of my work is a deep passion for storytelling and human connection. I believe wedding photography is about more than just documenting an event—it’s about celebrating your love story in a way that feels personal, intentional, and timeless.

If you’re drawn to images that blend romance, authenticity, and artistry, I’d love to connect and hear all about your wedding vision. Let’s create something beautiful together!
